Poor training, first you never tap a barrel using a metal tack hamer it’s too light and would damage the Raise Your Hand If You Still Like Beer Shirt tap, use a heavy rubber mallet, hold the tap firmly on the wooden plug and strike it hard with the mallet twice quickly once to break through the plug the second to seal the tap in the plug. Tapping about with a small hammer just get the gas up and you get the result this guy got, poor training. I feel for this guy. I once attended site to a keg not pouring. It turned out the idiot pimple faced bar staff had let the tab off the sealing cap fall into where the keg coupler sits. Muggins here removes the keg coupler only for the plastic tab to hold the valve open and do exactly the same thing, I was absolutely soaked in strawberry frulli with a three hour drive home. To be fair there shouldn’t be that much pressure in there. It’s obviously not been fermented enough before racking out. There’s cask conditioning, then there’s this. Big heavy rubber mallet and one good whack and it’s done. Siphon the fizz into a jug through the breather. It shouldn’t be this lively though. Even if you let this one settle it’d still blow up.

Raise Your Hand If You Still Like Beer Shirt, Hoodie, Tank Top And Sweater For Men And Woman
Serves him right for tapping it before it was racked. OK I know he’s probsbly got that shite new system. So it serves him right for selling shite, out of condition, beer. Great cellar training hes been given the fucking helmet. That must be fresh of wagon. Lively as fuck. Let it settle 48hrs bud. The rest of the cellars a shit hole also. Get it arranged properly. Comments about “racking” are not relevant when using the more space saving and modern syphon systems. It does mean the tub has to be left alone for a while to settle, before tapping as theirs no option to relieve the pressure via the spile. What people are failing to notice the cap that should be on the top of the ale connector is on the barrel next to the one being tapped and you need a mallet not a crappy little hammer. When I was at the Raise Your Hand If You Still Like Beer Shirt this was my worst nightmare lol. Luckily I never had to change that type of barrel but when someone else did I always went with them and prayed this would happen.
